Affordable Homes

WE DESIGN AND BUILD COMMUNITIES WITH AFFORDABLE HOMES FOR A BETTER NEW JERSEY—SUPPORTING ADULTS WITH AUTISM AND OTHER NEURODIVERSITIES, VETERANS, SENIORS AND WORKING FAMILIES.

Bergen County’s United Way and Madeline Corporation are non-profit organizations that work to address the housing crisis in New Jersey. Our mission is to build safe and affordable housing options for seniors, veterans and individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, such as autism, multiple sclerosis or Down syndrome. We manage all aspects of development from site acquisition and financing to construction and service coordination.

The key to success has been our focus on high-quality, sustainable developments that take on the aesthetic of their neighborhood. These award-winning designs are built throughout the state, yet most people are unaware of their “affordable” designation.

Municipalities throughout the state reach out to Bergen County’s United Way and Madeline Corporation in an effort to increase their supply of affordable housing. We have established a record of collaboration and trust with municipal, county and state leaders.

“I knew Ramsey had distinguished itself as a caring community when one of the parents came up to me at the Ribbon-cutting and said, ‘this is the answer to my prayers.’ This is the proudest achievement of my 7 years as Mayor.”
– Former Mayor Christopher Botta, Ramsey
